JEAN DUBOST – FRENCH HANDMADE CUTLERY
Founded in 1920 by Monsieur Dubost, a professional cutler, who was himself the son of the maker of the famous Laguiole Knives. Under the inspiration of Jean Dubost, the father’s son,
who gave his name to the famous flatware and world renowned kitchen knives.
The bumblebee that is found on all Laguiole knives, is one of the emblems of the area, renowned for its reliability.
Jean Dubost produce 3 grades of Laguiole cutlery, primarily distinguished by the weight of the steel used. These thicknesses are 2.5mm, 1.5mm and 1.2mm, the heavier the blade the more expensive the item is.
Over the last five or so years the popularity of the Laguiole style has meant there are a number of copies on the market- some from other French manufactures and others from Asia.
Jean Dubost cutlery is 100% made in France and has a 12 month warranty against all manufacturing faults.
